Extensive recruitment campaign in the food industry

Method

We started with a recruitment campaign in print and online media followed by HR marketing at universities as well as a co-operation with education/training companies specialized in accounting. At the same time campaigning was continued using other tools, e.g. posters.

Our aim was to find the necessary senior financial professionals through a comprehensive variety of search methods, such as search supported by job ads, internal and external databases as well as networking and direct search. We combined all of these methods to find suitable candidates. The biggest challenge was the short time frame in which to find the required number of qualified candidates as some of the job specifics were, for example, knowledge of exotic languages (e.g. Scandinavian languages).

Result

We were able to place up to 60 senior financial professionals with different backgrounds. Candidates came from audit companies, financial institutions, sales organisations and production companies where they held positions such as Financial Manager, Chief Accountant, Senior Accountant, Assistant Auditor or Controller. Many of these candidates were able to spend some months abroad, what enabled them to take over the accounting/financial role from other countries and implement it in Slovakia.
The recruitment campaign, to hire another 150 junior staff members, was also successfully implemented.
