Our client is an international energy company with offices in Central and Eastern Europe. After many years of service within the company, a sales manager decided to leave. The client already had a large number of internal and/or external potential candidates but since the position itself included very specific requirements and tasks, they decided to engage Iventa for professional evaluation and assessment of the most suitable candidates. Candidate Assessment

Those candidates were evaluated by Iventa in a process consisting of several phases and with the final goal of promoting the best and most suitable candidate.

Concept & Coordination

The approach of the personnel audit was designed in conjunction with the executive board. The implementation of the project was divided into three parts in order to gain a complete picture of each potential candidate. The first phase consisted of the online assessment PERLS, the second was designed as a case study for each candidate and the final phase consisted of a competence based interview with an Iventa consultant.

Implementation of the personnel audit

Based on a previously developed competence model which illustrated future requirements, we used a case study and a competence based interview as instruments for the audit as well as PERLS.
The case study was drawn up in advance by the participants in order to be able to discuss any open questions during the interview.
The results of each separate phase were compiled in one final report with concise information about each individual candidate.

Results

We presented our client the assessment results of the audit on an individual level for each candidate. Based on the strengths and learning curves of each candidate in comparison with the job specific requirements, our client had a sound base for choosing the most suitable person to fill this strategically important position.  
In a final step we assisted our client in defining and interpreting the results of the assessment process in order to be able to use them effectively. After a final discussion with the consultants, our client decided on one of the candidates. The client was also able to recruit several other candidates for different positions based on the information gathered during the assessment.
