Our client is a major international financial services company with an excellent reputation among its customers and resellers/agents resulting in an excellent market position and a solid and proven product line. More than 1,000 employees and distributors are active in Central and South-Eastern Europe. To strengthen their market position, our client decided to appoint a new member to their management board.

Method

The position profile was highly demanding. We searched for someone with relevant sales experience and senior management experience in the financial services industry, ideally having served on a management board. It was also important that the person had international experience and was able to begin representing the company immediately. The project was set up as a classic executive search project and Iventa initiated the direct contact with potential candidates in the industry.
In the research phase, a list of appropriate target companies and their geographical location in Croatia was created and defined. The list of target companies was very long because of numerous suitable organizations, so the challenge became to identify who the best potential candidates were. With the help of leading-edge research techniques, Iventa quickly created a long list of potential contenders. Based on the results of this research, the most qualified candidates were contacted and invited for an initial discussion with the Iventa consultant. In the end, we were able to present our client with a choice of highly qualified candidates who were interested in a new professional challenge as presented to them by Iventa.

Results

Despite the highly demanding position, the specific industry and exact search profile, we were able to present the best candidates from the market to our client. To further strengthen their market position the client decided to appoint a new member to their management board.

Method

The position profile was demanding. The client was looking for a candidate who was ready to take the position as the president of the board as well as to manage all process within the company. The candidate also needed to have a strong background in sales. Therefore we targeted candidates with high level management experience in the field of sales within the financial industry, and especially within the insurance sector. An additional factor was that the person needed to have international experience and would be capable to take charge of the company in a short period of time. The project was set up as a classical executive search project and Iventa initiated direct contact with the candidates in the industry.

Results


In the research phase the relevant companies were identified and a target list was compiled. As the industry is well established and a large number of companies operate on the market, the list was quite long. This was an additional difficulty for researchers and consultants because it demanded studious and in depth work to identify the best and most suitable individuals. With the help of cutting-edge research techniques though, Iventa identified potential candidates which were contacted and invited for an initial discussion with the Iventa consultant. Finally, we presented five candidates to our client who were the best on the market at that time. We also supported our client in their interviews with the presented candidates. After the interviews and a final discussion with the Iventa consultant, our client was sure they had found the right candidate for their company. Later company results confirmed they had taken the right decision as well as proved the value of Iventa's approach within the field of executive search.
