
Sales Consultant - Electroplating chemicals
Method
For attracting the most suitable candidates for this very interesting project, we have decided to use a mixture of methods. We prepared and posted an online job advertisement and searched in our internal and external databases. Furthermore we approached relevant professionals from our business network and asked for their recommendations. Also we prepared a target list of companies active in the galvanisation/electroplating industry through direct search and identified the individuals with relevant profiles for our project.
The search turned out to be very a challenging one, as we were targeting candidates from a geographically restrictive area and a niche sector who also needed to prove they could master sales and presentation techniques (under normal circumstances people working in such a technical sector tend to be more operational that sales oriented) as well as fluency in three languages.
Result
The channel that proved to be the most successful in this project was our professional business network – by asking for recommendations from select experts from this niche industry, we succeeded in identifying the best candidate for this role and filled the position according to our client’s needs.
