Battery Systems Engineer (f/m/d)

To expand the existing team in the Frankfurt region, we are looking for the next possible date for a Battery Systems Engineer (f/m/d)

#Mission

  • Support the development, verification and integration of the UAV Battery System.
  • Understand the needs of customers and other stakeholders and translate them into the Battery system requirements.
  • Manage requirements and traceability from high levels to the Battery System and Components levels.
  • Develop the Battery System design- and lifecycle-related documentation.
  • Work closely with the Certification and Testing teams and other stakeholders.
  • Take responsibility for the providing input, coordination of the development activities and accepting the inputs of a Supplier.
  • Being responsible for the validation and verification of the requirements and generating compliance evidence for the certification by the aviation authority.
  • Work within a scaled agile environment to support the Product Owner.
  • Support customers and Flight Testing department.

#Must Haves & Nice to Haves

  • You have an engineering degree, ideally in aerospace or electrical engineering
  • You have 3+ years of professional experience as a systems engineer in Battery System development, preferably in the aviation industry.
  • You have good knowledge of the standard specifications and performance standards for the Battery Systems in airborne applications such as ASTM F3005, RTCA DO-3311.
  • You have good knowledge in requirements management and RM-Tools.
  • Ideally, you are experienced with drone systems and UAVCAN/DroneCAN.
  • Ideally, you are experienced with systems engineering according to ARP4754A.
  • You thrive in collaborative environments and value collective success.
